IMGP3226-small

Nikhilendu Deb is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh. He is currently on sabbatical and is pursuing his Ph.D. degree at the University of Tennessee Knoxville, with a focus on political economy, environmental sociology, and social theory. Despite his fascination with the three classics — Marx, Weber, and Durkheim — his research on the political economy of industrial disasters in peripheral countries is informed by a variety of Marxian analyses in sociology. He completed degrees in sociology from Ohio University (MA) and Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (B.S.S and M.S.S).
